Playing in Man U's pre season friendlies because of squad lacking Euro players.

Not on a gimme being retained at Utd if he has an average season in the Championship .

He's in his last year of contract albeit the club have a one year option. I also get the impression he's not progressed as well as Manu thought he would. It might be a case of he has to do well for us to save his Manu career.

Having said that Tyler Blackett somehow managed to start a few league games for Manu despite his disastrous loan to us. *shudders at the memory*
