This should be good news, there must have been a question behind the scenes regarding squad fitness - which showed yesterday.
With one week to the start of the season (if not fit) is this bad prep ?

Yeah we definitely should have done this before pre season started, rather than at the end of pre season.
We didn't look fit though. Albion looked way fitter second half. Which is concening

Catching up fitness wise when the season has started ain’t an easy thing without hampering other aspects of training or pushing players too far

Agreed. Rushy is a top bloke. Think that is probably to do with the Gardner connection.

To be fair, I wouldn’t read too much in to it. We hadn’t really replaced him since he’d gone, Bowyer barely brought anyone in, and he is highly regarded. It makes sense all round.
