This should be good news, there must have been a question behind the scenes regarding squad fitness - which showed yesterday.

With one week to the start of the season (if not fit) is this bad prep ?

Yeah we definitely should have done this before pre season started, rather than at the end of pre season.
We didn't look fit though. Albion looked way fitter second half. Which is concening

The fact they've got him back maybe suggests that the management are concerned about their fitness too. This is probably a reaction to that.

Hope we catch up quickly. Don't want a repeat of the start of the season when Redknapp was here.

Agreed. Rushy is a top bloke. Think that is probably to do with the Gardner connection.

Sounds like the fitness pre season may have an issue ?

If correct it could down to Lee Bowyer planning.

Lining up an ex army bloke for a propaganda club video hasn't worked really....

To be fair, I wouldn’t read too much in to it. We hadn’t really replaced him since he’d gone, Bowyer barely brought anyone in, and he is highly regarded. It makes sense all round.
