Phew.

I wouldn't know about the first point. As for the second point, logic would dictate that last season would have put them off but with Dong in charge you just never know. They did bring him back after he left so they must see something in.

FWIW I think SSN, Wilford etc would have heard by now if Gardner was being out in charge anyway.

Quick fix like we did with Harry, then regroup in summer. Need a man manager atm to help the current players as this could be a spring board to keep us up. KRO

If we end up with Pulis for 10 games, fine. He'll get them organised and commited. There'll be no Bela, Sanchez or Helilovic but if it gets us back to basics and keeps us up, well needs must. But unless we suddenly show promotion form, he has to go in the summer.

BTW Anyone who wanted Karanka out and then moans if we end up with Pulis needs to go and give their head a massive wobble. What the frick did they expect.

I think Wilf would definitely have known if it was Gardner.

Not sure this is going to be in Dong’s hands either.

God please not Pulis. There are so many unemployed managers we could have anyone, even Harry, til the end of the season. My pick would be Howe or Lampard. More likely is that Zhao has already tapped someone up and they will be in place by 5pm Monday. I expect another left field one and still think we're going down.

It all depends on what direction the board want to take it whether they want someone long term or until the end of the season. Likely to be someone out of work to due to compensation, For me the below are possibilities:
- Pulis - the obvious link with the Gardner relationship and has been there and done it. Unattractive football but does run a tight ship. Undr the cosh podcast has spoken about him a lot and how he makes all first team players travel to away games etc even if they aren’t included in the squad.
- Harris - not too familiar with him myself but he has left his role at Cardiff earlier this season, could well be in the running.
- Wagner - I believe he is still currently out of a job and did a great job at Huddersfield to start.
- Cowley (s) - potential again but I heard they were taking a break from football and working with university students somewhere.
-Holloway - has always spoke highly of Blues and is the kind of manager to put his arm around players and build confidence, aswell as an attacking - we will score more than you philosophy, the opposite extreme to Karanka. I did hear something where he was talking about blues and said him and Karnak were friends, unsure if this could rule this out?
Mark Hughes - out of work and somewhat a bigger name, unlikely but you never know with this board.
Sol Campbell - same as above cannot see it but never know.
Roy Keane - expressed an interest in the Celtic job recently though you’d if thought the likes of wilder and Howe will be preferred for that role.
Adkins - again a possibility and could be ready for a return to management

Haven’t included the likes of Howe, Lampard, Wilder as I feel they may be in contention for the Celtic role.

Other doubtful options are Neil Lennon, Chris Coleman, monk, Billic, pardew

There’s only a couple of names that inspire me on that list, but the inspiration needs to happen in the changing room, not with me sat at home watching the game in my boxers.

Long term I can’t imagine Pulis being feasible or acceptable, but short term for the rest of the season, it might just get them shithousing a few results.

Wagner would be fantastic, but surely a bit optimistic?

Wagner could be optimistic yea but you could argue we are a similar project to Huddersfield. Pulis could be the person I feel though he left sheff weds because of the owners so how would he deal with ours?

None of the names stand out but that’s the situation we find ourselves in, who would want to come to a team who have little money, an awful board who have previously got involved with managing the team and get through managers quickly even if they are doing a good job.

Absolutely...

I assume the confidence in having someone for Wednesday means they’ve got something lined up...
